Give your 6-12th grader the opportunity to learn a practical skill, express their creativity, and build confidence in a welcoming, hands-on environment.

During this three-month beginner sewing program, students will start with the fundamentals and gradually advance their skills through guided lessons and age-appropriate sewing projects. No previous sewing experience is required.

Students will learn:

Hand-sewing techniques
Sewing-machine safety and operation
How to thread a machine and wind a bobbin
Measuring, pinning, and cutting fabric
Seam allowances and basic construction
How to read simple sewing patterns
How to complete beginner-friendly projects
Creative problem-solving and independent sewing skills

Time: 3:30–5:30 PM
Length: 12 weekly classes
Location: The Creative Place in San Leandro
Light snacks and beverages are included
Sewing machines, tools, and project materials are provided

Tuition

Early Registration: $657 Register by August 3, 2026

Regular Tuition: $720 Beginning August 4, 2026.
