You completed Sewing 101—now it’s time to keep practicing, creating, and building your confidence!
Our Sewing 102 Club is the perfect next step for sewists who understand the fundamentals and are ready to learn more. This weekly club combines continued sewing instruction with fun, useful projects in a welcoming and creative community.
Each Tuesday, you’ll complete a new project while learning techniques such as:
- Installing zippers
- Adding linings and interfacing
- Sewing curves and boxed corners
- Creating pockets and straps
- Working with elastic
- Reading and following patterns
- Improving cutting, pressing, and topstitching
- Beginning garment and bag construction
- Creating clean, professional finishes
Projects may include zipper pouches, tote bags, fabric baskets, pillows, aprons, accessories, seasonal décor, beginner garments, and handmade gifts. Every project is carefully selected to help you practice your existing skills while introducing something new.
This is a guided sewing club, not an open studio. An instructor will demonstrate each technique and support you step by step as you complete the featured project.

Experience level: Completion of Sewing 101 or equivalent basic sewing experience
Location: The Creative Place 444 Estudillo Ave., Suite E (upstairs) San Leandro, CA
Join one week at a time or save by purchasing the monthly bundle.
Projects and required materials provided each week unless we host a special project that would require bringing your own garment
